Ghosts of the Titanic
"It's a very good book. I would borrow this book. It has mysterious parts, funny and sometimes it's scary. Alexandra 6M
Half Brother by Kenneth Oppel
"Very good book. Keeps you reading; you do not want to put it down. Had some weird parts. Otherwise I recommend this book to people 12-13 up. I loved this book." Danica 7S
Milo - Sticky Notes & Brain Freeze by Alan Silberberg
"This is such a hilarious book! I recommend it for boys who enjoy the "Wimpy Kid" series. It deals with boys having girl problems and funny cartoons along with it. I really enjoyed this book. You will not put it down." Chelsea 5M

Children can be quite observant; they adopt the attitudes and behaviors of those who are important to them. Your experiences at home contribute greatly to your child's success at school. With this in mind, here are a few ideas and websites to assist you in making literacy and learning experiences pleasurable for everyone:
Great reading and entertainment is not always costly! The local public library is an excellent place for the family to explore. There are wonderful programs and numerous activities and resources available - the latest titles,magazines, DVDs, and ebooks for the youngest to the oldest family members to borrow and enjoy. A library card is a terrific way to to begin teaching a little one about sharing and responsibility - plus the thrill of having a library card is a special childhood memory!
